How to change the server’s main shared IP address in WHM

The accounts on your server may have their own dedicated IP address. However, you may prefer to set up accounts to share an IP address other than the IP of your main server. WHM provides you the ability to change the main shared IP configuration to those currently assigned to your server. If you want to know more about adding additional IPs, review the related tutorial within our WHM 11 setup series on our website.

Under “Basic cPanel/WHM Setup”, choose “Server Configuration”. On the “Edit Setup” page, change the “Main Shared Virtual Host IP” to any IP address that you have set up on your server. It is important to note that this change only affects the accounts without dedicated IPs.
